I’m the stereotypical “Type A” editor who loves words and adventure. I’m also a firm believer that books can change the world, and I want to be part of that change. When I’m not busy editing or reading, I enjoy snuggling my fur babies, baking, and finding new creative outlets.
I graduated in June 2019 with a B.A in Writing Studies with an emphasis in Creative Writing from the University of Washington–Tacoma. After taking a gap year, I was accepted to the Book Publishing program at Portland State University and began classes in September 2020.
In June 2021, I became the Copy Chief for Ooligan Press, a student-run independent press in Portland. In this role I helped edit fiction and nonfiction manuscripts, as well as marketing and social media collateral for a variety of books. I completed several internships during my graduate program with companies such as The Portland Review, Level 4 Press, and Pomegranate Communications.
I received my M.A in Book Publishing with a specialization in editing in June 2022.
I enjoy developmental editing, copyediting, and proofreading, but I also enjoy working on smaller design projects (here’s an example of a chapbook I created) and editing for consistency within internal documents. For examples of my editorial work, check out my work samples.
